I was born in the city and grew up in the country. What this means for you is that I prefer to keep things simple! I also have a strong work ethic.
I see the big picture and focus on simple ways to help you get outcomes you need. People enjoy working with me because I am a ‘can-do’ person and make the journey to your solution engaging and pleasant. You look for consultants that can fix your business ‘problems’. For you, I can fix anything other than a wicked dilemma AND make the process enjoyable and efficient, while delivering excellent outcomes.
My Professional Background
Life science has been my speciality for the past 20 years, and I’ve enjoyed the privilege of being involved with some of the leading companies in this area. For example, with CSL Ltd when it first floated in the 1990s, and Amgen Australia when it recruited its first primary care sales team in 2017. In addition, I worked in an international executive recruitment and medical communications consultancies.
I have demonstrated success in medicines development from proof-of-concept, early pre-clinical, scale-up for clinical trials, manufacturing scale-up, scale-down to develop process improvements, launch to market, as well as the commercial and R&D support of mature brands in Australia and for the Globe.
My clients and colleagues know me as a competent, high performer, with diverse and broad experiences, which in itself is unique in the context of my scientific pedigree compared to my peers. These skills are highly valuable to cross-functional teams. I am adept at working with teams to craft strategies for success to out-perform competitors.
My Educational Background
I hold a BSc (Honours – First Class) and a Doctorate of Philosophy (Medicine) in Infectious Diseases from the University of Sydney with a component of the study performed at the Department of Gastroenterology at Stanford University, California in the USA. As part of my Doctorate, I studied the chromatography manufacturing method that CSL Ltd uses to make albumin. I have completed Medicines Australia Code of Conduct training initially in 2007 and I keep up-to-date with the current edition, which is Edition 19. I have also completed the Australian Institute of Management Train the Trainer section of my Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment.
After my studies, I have worked in Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, and Neutraceuticals and taught at University of Sydney, University of Melbourne, Monash University and the Southern School of Natural Therapies.
A diverse career has given me experience in Executive Leadership, Project Management, Medical Affairs, Compliance, Training, Executive Coaching, Life Coaching, Recruitment, HR, Health Promotion, Writing and Editing, Public Speaking, Sales and Client Management.
My Passion
My passion is communication. I am a scientist who loves to communicate!
